Friday, October 2nd:
Fall for Wailuku!
6pm – 9pm
(street closure at 5:30pm)
A free street festival offering 2 stages of live music, food vendors, local artisans, jewelry, fashion, magic and the only party with a beer garden.
The original town party, Wailuku First Friday started in 2008. A small event with minimal live music and sporadic vendors, it was grown tremendously and has brought new energy and an economic boost to the quiet town.
In addition to its beautiful geographic location at the bottom of the West Maui Mountains and en route to Iao Valley, the town carries deep historical significance as well. The birthplace of the island’s important sugar industry and the location of King Kamehameha’s victorious battle, the small town is the perfect mix of the young and the old. Today, Wailuku is the heart of Maui’s government and business with many small businesses and a friendly, small town feel.
